What to bring to the appointment
– A referral from your GP and or other medical specialist
– Your medicare card
– Private health fund membership card or details
– Workers compensation details
– All relevant x-rays and medical reports
– List of medications
– List of any known allergies
Fees
Part of your surgical fee will be covered by your private health fund and Medicare, however a detailed itemised quote will be provided to you at the time of your surgery booking.
A discounted rate will apply for pensioners.

Do l need a doctor's referral to make an appointment?
Referrals from your GP or medical specialist will allow you to claim the medicare rebate for the consultation.

You can make an appointment with a referral from other allied health professionals (e.g Physiotherapist) however, you will not be able to claim the medicare rebate.

COVID-19 Statement

At Sunshine Coast Orthopaedic Group we want to reassure you that we are taking the highest level of care and precaution to minimise the risk of exposure to Covid-19 among our patients and staff.

Unless there is a government directive to cease operating, our clinic remains open. We are following strict social distancing rules, and all patients and visitors must wear masks at all times, and check in on arrival. Only patients themselves should attend the office unless with a carer. 

If you have ANY of the symptoms below, please DO NOT visit the clinic. Instead, call us in advance and we will arrange a telehealth consultation.

  • Fever, cough, sore throat, or shortness of breath.
  • Had contact with someone diagnosed with, or suspected to have Covid-19.
  • Have travelled internationally or domestically in the last 14 days.
